Reunion News

a little awkward as we struggled to overcome the shock at finding out how much, and yet how little, we had changed. Then came the excuses for the lack of phone calls and letters and then finally the realisation that it didn't matter. We had bridged the gap. Soon we were talking about the 'old times' and the 'good times'. I suppose the seed of reunion was sewn then.
So were you a member of Argyle Youth Club between the years 1968 - 1973? Do you remember Brian, Bonzo and Brillo? Or are these vague figments of an imagination scarred with memories of the Magic Roundabout and too many years over the kitchen sink! Can you remember the words to "Drink up thee cyder"? or dance 'tiller girl' fashion to the classic throb of the "Bloody Red Baron"? Have you ever wondered how much hair Paul has got left or how many little Sue Barnes (Lewis's) there are running around? Well, here is your big chance to find out!
We are organising a (Roughly!) 25th Anniversary celebration get-together in Spring or Autumn of 1997. The venue is yet to be announced but apart from that everything has been meticulously planned, except for the arrangements of course.

We thought we could possibly meet up in the Warwick (for those who need the Courage!) or even Argyle itself (I think we still have Fred Butler's key!) or maybe somewhere else! The important thing is that we are able to get in contact in good time to ensure that everyone has a chance of coming ..... assuming that you want to come.
If you think that all this sounds like a good idea please fill out the coupon giving your name, address and contact phone number and send it to Mike or Paul. That's all you need to do and we will organise the rest.

Actually, since we both (co-incidentally) live in Manchester these days, someone else will probably do the organising ...... Good Plan eh?!?
If you want to make additional comments about the venue, time, content of the evening or just want to tell us how you are doing etc., please do. It would be good to hear from you and we will try to accommodate all preferences.
The other benefit from doing this is that we may well issue another 'newsletter' later this year to let everyone know how things are developing and passing on some other titbits.
So please have a look at the video tape. It may jog your memory and whet your appetite. I hope you don't feel too intimidated by it. There has been no image manipulation involved!

Do you recognise any old friends from the faded photographs? Do you know where any of these people are today? If you know the whereabouts of anyone who used to attend Argyle Youth Club between 1968 & 1973 please pass on the video tape and a copy of this 'newsletter'. We need to contact as many people as possible to make a reunion viable.
If you would like to attend a reunion of old Argyle Youth Club members (c.1968 - 1973) to be arranged sometime in the Spring / Autumn of 1997, please complete the form and return it to either of us.

PS: Does anyone know where Jeff Bonner (real name "Bonzo") is?
